Thesis Guide for the Master of Disaster Science Study Program
The thesis supervisor’s submission must be accompanied by:
a. Proof of SPP payment slip
b. Transcripts
c. KRS
d. Fill out forms F1 and F2 (Download Form), After getting the name of the study program, then fill out the F3 form (Download Form)
e. Thesis Proposal
Then wait until the Decision Letter (SK) comes out.
To register for a proposal seminar, there are several requirements that must be completed, namely:
a. Final Grade Transcript
b. KRS
c. Thesis Supervisor’s Decree (SK)
d. Copy of Current SPP Slip
e. Cover of the proposal that has been approved by the Supervisor
f. Thesis proposal
g. Research Time Matrix
To register for a results seminar, there are several requirements that must be completed, namely:
a. Provisional Transcript
b. KRS
c. Thesis Supervisor’s Decree (SK).
d. Copy of Current SPP Slip
e. Cover of the proposal that has been approved by the Supervisor
f. Thesis Draft
Next, determine the time of the results seminar that suits the schedule of the supervisors and examiners.
Students complete the documents below to be able to submit the thesis defence:
1. Verification request letter
2. Thesis
3. Scientific Articles
4. Proof of Publication (LOA/Journal Email/Proof of Payment)
5. Minutes of seminar results
6. TOEFL letter
7. Provisional transcript
8. KRS
9. Proof of SPP deposit
10. CV
11. Bachelor’s degree Certificate
12. KTP
13. Thesis Defense approval sheet
All the documents above are uploaded to the SEKATA USK application.
All processes at the thesis defence registration stage are carried out through the SEKATA application and with the graduate school academic department.
After all documents have been uploaded, wait for the verification process by the postgraduate academic department. After the documents are verified, a thesis defence schedule form will be given which must be signed by the supervisors and examiners.
The thesis defence will be held according to the agreed schedule. The graduate school will notify you of the room that will be used for the thesis defence.
To fulfil the graduation requirements, students need to complete the thesis distribution form, which is done through the SEKATA and ETD applications.
After the student is declared to have passed the thesis trial, the next process is distributing the thesis.
- The MIK study program will provide the thesis distribution form, which includes a list of names who will receive the hardcopy or soft copy of the student’s thesis.

- Tesis soft copy for postgraduate libraries can be uploaded here
- After uploading to the Syiah Kuala University library and the postgraduate library, students will receive a library exemption letters via email and proof of submission of a softcopy of the final assignment from the postgraduate library.
- Distribution forms, library exemption letters, and proof of distribution of postgraduate theses are assembled and then uploaded to SEKATA.
- Students are required to fill out an Exit Survey so they can borrow a toga for graduation.
The survey can be filled out here. - After filling out the survey, students are required to print proof by selecting the “Print” menu in the menu on the left. The printout becomes proof for taking the toga. This menu will only be active if student have answered all the questions in the survey.
- Graduation invitations will appear in the KRS ONLINE application, therefore, students need to upload thesis abstracts in the application.
